Thank you for coming along to the seventh annual Dacorum Steam and Country Fayre in aid of The Hospice of St Francis. As always, we’re looking forward to a fantastic weekend filled with so much to see and do for all the family.

At the Hospice, we’re excited about the opening of our new health and wellbeing centre. The Spring Centre is a new service from the Hospice which will offer free support and opportunities for those with serious illness, their families, carers and friends as well as the community who support us. Our final two beds are also now open and are already caring for patients which, alongside the new Spring Centre, will enable us to double the number of people we support over the next few years, from 1,000 to 2,000.

Events like the Steam Fayre help make this growth possible – and simply by coming along and supporting this fun-filled event, you are all making a difference to the care that we can offer to more local people who might need our help one day in the future.

We have to raise more than £4.6 million each year to provide our services, so the money raised over this weekend is ensuring that we can continue our essential service for the patients and families who depend on us.

We would like to thank Dacorum Steam & Machinery Preservation Society and their families and friends for all their hard work in organising what is a truly spectacular and enjoyable event for the entire family.

We do hope you enjoy your day and thank you for helping us to care!
